3rd of July


Moorpark: Entertainment starts at 3:45 p.m., fireworks at 9 p.m. Arroyo Vista Community Park, 4550 Tierra Rejada Road. $5 per person (cash only), children ages 4 and younger go in free. Information: Arroyo Vista Recreation Center, 805-517-6300.


4th of July

Ventura: 5 to 10 p.m., Ventura College athletic fields, 4667 Telegraph Road. $8 adults, $6 children, free for those 3 and younger.


Oxnard: Fireworks at 9 p.m., Channel Islands Harbor. Craft market opens at 11 a.m., Marine Emporium Landing, with electric boat parade at 6 p.m. Fireworks are visible from anywhere at the harbor. Information: www.channelislandsharbor.org.


Ojai: 5:30 p.m., fireworks at 9:15 p.m., Nordhoff High School, 1401 Maricopa Highway. $10 adults, $5 children. Information: www.4thofjulyinojai.com.


Fillmore: Fireworks at 8:30 p.m., Fillmore Middle School, 543 A St. Information: Fillmore Chamber of Commerce, 805-524-0351.


Camarillo: 4 to 9:30 p.m., Adolfo Camarillo High School, 4660 Mission Oaks Blvd. Fireworks start at 9 p.m. $2; children ages 5 and younger are free. Information: 805-383-5696.


Westlake Village: Fireworks at 9:10 p.m., over Westlake Golf Course, 4812 Lakeview Canyon Road. Free. Information: Westlake Village City Hall, 818-706-1613.


Thousand Oaks: Fireworks start at 9 p.m., with good viewing from The Oaks shopping center parking lot, 350 W. Hillcrest Drive, and Janss Marketplace, 275 N. Moorpark Road, which will have live music, a kids zone, food and face painting starting at 5 p.m. Information: www.janssmarketplace.net. 


Simi Valley: 3 to 9:30 p.m., Rancho Santa Susana Community Park, 5005 E. Los Angeles Ave. Free. Information: 805-526-3900.
